Soulja Boy Fires Back At Critics Over Set At Trump’s Crypto Ball
Soulja Boy got in hot water following his performance at Donald Trump’s Crypto Ball. However, in his opinion, politicians like Barrack Obama and Kamala Harris never reached out to him; but Donald Trump did. “Trump putting money in my pockets, n*gga,” he said in an Instagram video.
Throughout the video, Soulja also showed off the money he received for the performance. “Muthf*ckers is trying to say something about me performing at the Crypto Ball party, [but] did Kamala call my muthf*kin phone? Did Obama call my muthaf*ckin phone?” he said. Soulja Boy also says that if Donald Trump wanted him to perform again he would’ve done so. Soulja Boy isn’t the only rapper receiving heat for performing for Trump’s Crypto Ball.
Snoop Dogg Called Out Over Performing At Trump’s Crypto Ball
Snoop Dogg is also being criticized for his decision to perform at the soiree. The negative response he’s received is due to the controversial comments Donald Trump made throughout his campaign. Not long after, a clip of Snoop Dogg began circulating where he referred to Black artists who performed at Trump’s 2016 Inauguration as “Uncle Toms.” However, it looks like he’s changed his tune.
A few months back Snoop Dogg revealed that he wasn’t a part of the Republican or Democratic parties, just the “gangsta party.” According to Snoop Dogg, he doesn’t “believe in separating people,” for the sake of politics. “I’m not looking for separation…I’m not looking for division…I’m looking for people to come together. The Doggystyle rapper noted that he removed himself from the scene during election time, and revealed it was a calculated move on his part.
