What Personal Information Is Collected

In general, Coinpuccino (“Site”) does not collect any personally identifiable information. However, there are instances where Coinpuccino may require a visitor’s email address to provide a service (e.g., Newsletter subscription, Submit a story, Contact form, etc.). In such cases, the email address will be explicitly requested, and the visitor will be notified. Once collected, these email addresses are used solely for the intended purpose specified by the visitor. They will not be shared with any third party.

Collection and Use of Non-Personal Information

We may use cookies on or in connection with our Site to maintain information about you. A cookie is a small text file, often containing an anonymous unique identifier. We use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive after you close your browser and may be used by your browser during subsequent visits to the Site. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your browser’s instructions. A session cookie is temporary and disappears when you close your browser.

When you visit our Site, our server may request permission from your computer to employ a session or persistent cookie. If your browser’s settings allow it, our Site will send a cookie to your browser. To protect your privacy, your browser permits our Site to access only the cookies it has sent and not those sent by other websites. Most web browsers can be configured to notify you when a cookie is sent and give you the option to refuse it. However, refusing a cookie may prevent you from using certain features or negatively affect the display and functionality of our Site.

Our servers automatically collect data about your Internet Protocol (IP) address when you visit the Site. When you request pages from Coinpuccino, our servers may log your IP address and sometimes your domain name. Our server may also record the referring page that directed you to our Site (e.g., another website or a search engine), the pages you visit on our Site, the website you visit after leaving our Site, and other information such as the type of web browser, computer, platform, software, and settings you are using. Additionally, any search terms entered on our Site or a referral website may be logged.

Your IP address may also be used for moderation purposes, such as limiting the creation of multiple accounts and preventing spam.
