‘Every MAGA Will Buy It:’ Elon Musk Featured in Miami Crypto Lawsuit

Digital artist Jayson “Mr. Black” Winer has sued First Apex Ventures LLC and its affiliates, including a once high-flying real estate investor-turned-Justice Department “serial informant,” in the Miami-Dade Circuit Court over a fraudulent scheme involving promises of celebrity endorsements and access to billionaire Elon Musk.

The case is backed by Lara T. Gatz, a partner, Daniel A. Sox, of counsel, and Conor D. Cassidy, an associate, at Reed Smith in the Am Law 50 firm’s Miami office, whose client, Winer, was inspired in November 2023 to create and develop a digital art collection, which consists of 21,000 unique ordinal pieces inscribed on Bitcoin.
